The aim of the corridor study is to pinpoint shortcomings in the system that contribute to congestion patterns along the I-10 corridor, stretching from the west of the Mississippi River to the I-10/I-12 split. A comprehensive public initiative will be undertaken to develop concepts that can address these deficiencies, with public input solicited prior to, during, and after the development of alternative options. To comply with DOTD guidelines, the feasibility of these concepts will be evaluated and recorded in a Stage 0 Report. Once completed, this information will serve as a starting point for the environmental review process mandated by the National Environmental Policy Act of 1969 (NEPA).
