Project Summary

This project is a significant part of connecting and upgrading shipping terminals at the Port of Long Beach. The Port of Long Beach is a world-class facility that is technologically advanced and regarded as one of the most environmentally friendly terminals in the world. Construction of infrastructure to support automated container handling using Automatic Stacking Cranes (ASC) will be necessary during this project. Once the third phase of this project is complete the yard will be able to spot three separate 10,000-ft long unit trains and move about one million twenty-foot equivalent units every year.
