Project Summary

The LAX secured area access post project will be a significant addition to the security infrastructure of the Los Angeles Airport. The project is being undertaken to provide a secure access point to the Airport Operations Area, which is a restricted area within the airport that is not accessible to the public. The project is being implemented on the west side of the airport, and it will not impact the flow of vehicles that are already entering the Airport Operations Area. The project will cover an area of approximately 1200 ft x 150 ft, and it will include the construction of two guard station buildings, as well as the installation of monitoring and security equipment. In addition to these structures, the project will also include the construction of two canopy structures that will span the space between the first and last inspection stations. These canopy structures will provide shelter and protection from the elements for passengers and airport staff as they pass through the security checkpoints.
