The focus of airfield improvements will be on enhancing safety by improving runway exits, managing airfield operations by extending Taxiway D west, and providing better access to new concourse and terminal facilities through improvements to Taxiways C and D. These airfield improvements will involve the following: Extending Taxiway D west to ADG VI standards to improve aircraft taxiing operations and meet FAA standards, Reconfiguring taxiways and runways to meet current design standards set by the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), Enhancing pilot visibility by improving runway exit configurations, and Improving the east ends of Taxiways C and D for access to new terminal and concourse facilities.
