Quality Management
The proposed project aims to complete the transition to permanent stand-alone operations by making modifications to the intake and outfall systems near the Agua Hedionda Lagoon Outer Basin, which is associated with the CDP and located next to the EPS in Carlsbad, California. The modifications would include installing a partially submerged intake system in the Lagoon that is approximately 160 feet by 32 feet and extends about 25 feet above the water. An above-water deck that is approximately 200 feet long and 30 feet wide and a debris return area between the discharge pond and intake system would also be installed. Additionally, the project involves the installation of a 500-square-foot electrical building, the replacement and relocation of the marine research shed and boat ramp, and the installation of a floating debris boom in front of the intake screens.
