MSY – Admin and Mezzanine and Taxiway Sierra
TQF South provided Quality Assurance Testing and Inspection for multiple projects contracted under Burns and McDonald at the Louis Armstrong International Airport. The New Orleans Aviation Board Administrative Office Buildout has an estimated project cost of $23.1 million. This project included the construction of administrative office spaces for New Orleans Aviation Board (NOAB) staff on levels 1 and 3 of the terminal building. On level 1, buildout of auxiliary administrative spaces to support, landside operations, lost and found office and
storage, janitorial offices, and training room is located near the Short-Term Garage entrance. TQF South provided on call welding inspections for structural steel and ACI Testing and sampling. The Taxiway Sierra South Reconstruction has a project cost of $1.2 million. This project scope included the reconstruction of Taxiway Sierra South concrete pavement and utilities, demolition of existing pavement, grading, installing P-306 Lean Concrete Base, installing P-501 Concrete Pavement, and installation of miscellaneous signs. TQF South provided ACI concrete testing and fabricated and tested concrete cylinders in accordance with ASTM C39 and beams in accordance with ASTM C78.
